Ilana Swanepoel is a South African born creative director, content producer, stylist, and creative consultant. While her work concentrates on food and object, it often incorporates human stories. With a background in advertising, these themes continue to inspire and create her unique approach to visuals.
The early years shaped her current career. After graduating from creative business school she was an art director in advertising where being on set in the pursuit of the perfect photograph would imprint on her future career. This led to directing and styling editorial content for publications and crafting commercial set design for a variety of contemporary brands.
Ilana was the co-founder, creative director and editor of the Michelin star chef biannual food and lifestyle publication Jan The Journal. Currently she is the creative director and founding partner of The Great Content, an exclusive business-to-business platform that creates, curates and sells unique unpublished content.
