Alix-Rose is a photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa, with a background in visual communication and art direction. Her obsession with natural light and keen eye for detail means she sees images where others don’t. Alix combines colour, composition and conceptual thinking to make photos that tell stories, whether it’s still life’s that elevate everyday products to new heights or intimately captured fashion portraiture.
Alix is also a writer who interviews and writes about creative people for publications like WeTransfer’s WePresent, CNN Style, Sight Unseen and The Association of Illustrators’ Varoom. She’s also worked as an editor of various publications, online and in print. Whatever medium Alix is working in (from shooting to props styling to writing to editing), she is most happy when she is making pictures.
